Randy Wax
Randy WaxWith a love of doodling and drawing new car designs as a kid, Randy Wax attended Penta Career Center in Perrysburg, Ohio and was accepted into a course that was known then as Commercial Art.  Randy made the decision that he’d like to further his education and selected Columbus College of Art & Design, a four-year degree granting college in Columbus.
After graduating, he went in search of his first job.  He initially landed at The Ohio State University’s Center for Vocational and Technical Education where he was part of a graphics department that created printed materials and overhead slide art used to promote vocational training in secondary and post secondary institutions. While there, he learned of a job opening in Toledo and the next thing Randy knew, he was the art director at an ABC television station, designing news and weather sets, graphics for news, and ads to promote programs.
With a talented illustrator he worked with, they founded their own small studio. After a few years, they parted ways and Randy continued to do graphic design work for many clients in the Columbus area.
Upon retirement, Randy works with the Logan County Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau with marketing materials. He also continues to design projects for a few long-time clients that he worked with before he sold his studio.
