Why Choose Golf

Parent,

If your son is considering golf I’ll welcome him with open arms.  Golf is a great sport to learn, and one he’ll be able to play for a lifetime.

In addition, there are many values reinforced through golf.  Values such as honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy, and judgement.  There are also many healthy habits associated with golf.

I believe that sports, specifically golf provides a platform to encourage these core values and healthy choices.

In addition, your son will learn to introduce themselves, manage emotions, resolve conflicts, set step by step goal setting, and plan for the future.

Student/Athlete,

If you have the fall open I’d like to invite you to give golf a try.  It’s a challenging, yet rewarding sport.  The season is short, only August 1st through September.  For best results, you should pick the game up during the summer months so by the time practice starts we’re improving, not learning from scratch.

We hold weekly instructional sessions at Cherokee Hills.  It is voluntary, but those that participate find it rewarding and a way to get a jump on the upcoming season.  Golf is an individual sport meaning your score speaks for itself.  I’m committed to making you the best possible golfer I can.  If you’ll work at it, you’ll improve and be glad you tried.
